Youth cafe moves to park

Enderby’s popular youth café evening is moving to the park this Friday night.

During a meeting between organizers, it was decided to invite the young people to Barnes Park for a barbecue this Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. to take advantage of the nice weather and encourage others to join in on the fun.

Enderby's youth cafes going strong

Enderby’s Friday night Youth Café evenings continue to prove to be a popular and safe place for young people to gather.

The Country Coffee House on Belvedere Street has been hosting the twice monthly evenings for youth aged 13 to 16 years since late February, and organizers are pleased to be able to provide such a venue and opportunity for young people.

“We’re very pleased. It’s been going quite smoothly,” commented Jack Whelpley, north area director for the Boys and Girls Club, which, in part, sponsors the youth nights.
