SILGA looks to resurrect photo radar

SILGA wants to put speeders back on camera.

  The Southern Interior Local Government Association voted to bring photo radar back to B.C. at the May 1-3 convention. Spallumcheen Coun. Joe Van Tienhoven, who attended, said that though it proved to be a hotly debated resolution as presented by Penticton, the motion to reinstate photo radar in school and playground zones received approval by a narrow margin.

Youth cafe moves to park

Enderby’s popular youth café evening is moving to the park this Friday night.

  During a meeting between organizers, it was decided to invite the young people to Barnes Park for a barbecue this Friday from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. to take advantage of the nice weather and encourage others to join in on the fun.
